Wow – it sure is hot out there. Somehow though, the plants are persevering through the 90 degree weather and dry conditions. I can just picture the plant roots underground, delving deeper and deeper to find nutrients and water, and breathing a sigh of relief (much like mine) when the sun starts to set and the evening cool arrives.
As summer rushes in, the greens and roots fade and make way for a plethora of cucumbers, squash, beans and, not too far behind, peppers and tomatoes.
